Oops!

Ooops, oops, oops! I totally apologize. I never meant to post on Farine about my MRI!! The post was meant for a private blog I have set up to communicate with family and close friends. I did mean to let Farine readers know that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer but not until we knew exactly what we were dealing with and what the prognosis might tentatively look like. Which should happen in the coming days.
Also I would never have joked about the size of my breasts on an open blog! For me that's the equivalent of a wardrobe malfunction on network television. I am so mortified! If I had been less in a hurry to get the post out last night before rushing to the kids' house for 19-month old Lily's bath time, I would have paid more attention to which blog I was posting to. Meanwhile I can't help feeling that it is a bit funny! Like being on your way to work and realizing in the subway that you are wearing your old slippers...
Anyway the cat is out of the bag and there is nothing I can do about it now. I have removed the post (which really doesn't belong on Farine). But I'll keep you updated, I promise, and meanwhile I am deeply grateful for the messages of love and support you have already sent our way. Thank you!

  1. MC, we love you and are here to support you in any way that we can. As embarrasing as you might think this is, we are laughing with you. I truly believe the ability to laugh at ourselves is truly a gift. I could only wish that this had been the most embarrasing thing I had ever done. (Try sitting in a resturant with your family, in-laws included, and for no reason falling out of your chair into the path of an oncomming waiter. My kids are still kind enough occasionally to remind me of this.)

I am so sorry that you are having to travel this journey a top of all else. My prayers have
doubled and please keep us updated. We have missed you terribly the last couple of weeks. I have no doubt that you will overcome this. You have to. Your work here is not complete.
    Love, hugs and prayers.

  6. You are the most amazing, strong, caring, real and yes.....funny woman I have never met! LOL
It would be an honor to actually meet you someday, but for now, I count it a privelege
that you share parts of your life with me (even when unintentionally)!

Love and many many prayers.......your friend Sherri

  12. OMG! I can't imagine how that must have felt realizing you'd mixed up your blogs. For what it's worth, I also have two and so changed the dashboard color of one so that I wouldn't confuse the two. Maybe you can try that!

Sending you positive vibes from my corner of the country. Another blogging friend also recently found she had an aggressive form of breast cancer. She's had surgery and scans reveal she is cancer-free! I am hoping the same for you.

  13. MC - I had seen the post but I guess, at the time, I didn't realize that it was a mistake. It is totally something that I would do. It is like hitting reply all instead of reply and saying something embarrassing that you did not want the others to read. We all do it. :0 We are all here for you and praying for you with this new hurdle in you life. I am sure that Noah will be there with you while you go through this. I believe that God is not ready for you to see him. You have much to accomplish...gun control, being there for your daughter, and entertaining us :).

Please let us know how you are doing.

I still pray for Noah and the others every single day.

    God Bless.

    Peace and Love.

  17. Just so you know - as if you didn't already - you are not alone! Keep the funny bone active. Rice milk works wonders when you can't drink anything else and a good acupuncturist is worth her weigh in gold to keep energy up.

  18. Not to worry, at least about the post. You're among friends here. A lot of friends whose thoughts and prayers are now with you, as they have been these past few difficult months.
    All the best.

  19. So very sad to learn you have to deal with a cancer diagnosis in addition to the unrelenting grief
of losing Noah. I hope that your tremendous spirit and resilience will see you through, along

I also missed the accidental post, but never fear... we are all friends here and I feel nothing you post would be inappropriate. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that, and I hope you're able to through this hurdle very quickly. My mother also found out she has breast cancer a few weeks ago. She has surgery this Wednesday, and we are all anxious to get through this scary ordeal. I will certainly add you to my prayers for this situation as well.
